Tim Hayden moved for TMC to recommend Reclamation implement operation to meet water temperature objectives (53.5°F daily max, 50°F daily average, and optimal 46.5°F) at Lewiston Dam for the benefit of Coho Salmon incubation, with a recommendation made to state and federal regulatory agencies accompanied by a more descriptive letter drafted by TRRP Staff. Michael Orcutt seconded the motion and offered a friendly amendment. Motion passed with 6 votes in favor and 2 abstentions. Reclamation and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service abstained

Brett Kormos made a motion that TMC send a letter to Reclamation requesting they initiate the Trinity River Division separate consultation under ESA and that both Reclamation and NMFS include the necessary water temperature thresholds specific to all Coho salmon life histories in the resulting opinion, similar to what was conducted in 2000. Liam Gogan seconded the motion. Michael Orcutt offered a friendly amendment. Motion passed with 6 votes in favor and 2 abstentions. Reclamation and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service abstained.
