GMA (GMA Hydrology, Inc.). 2020. 2019 Trinity River Gravel Implementation Monitoring Report. Data Package for the Trinity River Restoration Program (TRRP) under U.S. Bureau of Reclamation contract R14PC00122. GMA Hydrology, Inc., Arcata, California. Available: www.trrp.net/library/data?id=135.

GMA Hydrology, Inc. (GMA) was tasked by the USBR Trinity River Restoration Program
(TRRP) to collected bathymetric and terrestrial topographic data on the Trinity River, after the
peak of the 2019 spring flow release. Bathymetric data were collected at particular study reaches
along the focal reach of the Trinity River. Data were collected for geomorphic comparative use
with previous year’s data. Multibeam or sweep sonar data were collected from: just upstream of
the Trinity Dam Blvd bridge aka the new Lewiston bridge to Dark Gulch, from Lowden to the
top of Poker Bar, at the vicinity of the Indian Creek delta, from the bottom of the Chapman
Ranch as-built to the meander below the Canyon Creek confluence. The Indian Creek delta area
and Sheridan Creek-Deep Gulch as-built pools and side channel areas received complete
topographic surveys. The complete topographic survey included mainstem bathymetry fill-in,
side channels, pools, edge of water, gravel bars and land surveys using structure from motion and
LiDAR.

This report summarizes the data collection techniques and procedures as well as the processing
and data integration methods.
