Trinity River riparian wildlife – foothill yellow legged frog

TRRP staff are interested in finding out more about where and when foothill yellow-legged frogs are breeding on the mainstem Trinity River. We would like to know if you see egg masses before the spring release (which is likely to happen in late April), or if you find them when the river flows are decreasing in May. You can let us know by filling in a simple data sheet and sending us a picture of what you see. In doing so, please do not touch or otherwise disturb the egg mass.

Please contact Chris Laskodi (claskodi@yuroktribe.nsn.us) for a foothill yellow-legged frog identification flier, a map, and a data sheet.
