Gale D (2007) Terwer Creek Riparian Restoration Project. Yurok Tribal Fisheries Project, Klamath, CA. Available: https://www.trrp.net/library/document?id=2126.

The Yurok Tribal Fisheries Program (YTFP) initiated a multi-phase riparian enhancement project in Lower Terwer Creek beginning in 2003. Restoration treatments conducted within the two project areas included: willow sprigging eroding banks, constructing willow siltation baffles, willow mattresses, planting native vegetation to provide long-term stability within the area, and removing exotic plant species. Objectives include stabilizing erosive streambanks, revegetating the project site with flood-resistant willow stands to reduce water velocities within this reach, increase localized deposition of fines (increase bar elevation and vegetative productivity) and aid in the long-term re-establishment of an unbraided stream reach. The majority of work performed for this project was done with hand crews using hoedads, chainsaws, posthole diggers, and hand tools.
