Pacific Watershed Associates (2000) Final Report Results of Stream Channel Survey and Sampling Grass Valley Creek Watershed Trinity County California. Report to the County of Trinity and the Trinity River Restoration Program. Available: https://www.trrp.net/library/document?id=1430.

This Grass Valley Creek channel monitoring project was undertaken to effectively document and track measurable changes in channel conditions, substrate characteristics, stream channel stability and sediment transport and storage in Grass Valley Creek. Quantitatively monitoring sensitive streambed environments and channel characteristics over time will document critical elements that control salmonid propagation, emergence and survival in Grass Valley Creek watershed. It is hoped these indices will also record and provide a measure of the effect of Buckhorn Dam and other sediment reduction efforts on long term channel conditions. The Grass Valley Creek channel monitoring project was implemented in 1992 with funding from the Trinity River Restoration Program through the County of Trinity Grants Program. That year, four study reaches were established to document and monitor channel geometry and substrate characteristics. These reaches were surveyed again in 1993 and 1995.
