Edmund “Ned” Andrews (CV)
Current Position: Chief, River Mechanics Project, National Research Program, USGS, Water Resources Division. Boulder, CO.
Expertise: Research on river mechanics, especially river channel change in response to variations in flow and sediment supply; developing and improving methods to measure and calculate the entrainment and transport of sediment particles from a riverbed with mixed particle sizes.
Education: Ph.D. Geology/Aquatic Ecology.

Dr. JoAnna Lessard
Current Position: Senior Aquatic Ecologist, Garcia and Associates, San Francisco, CA
Expertise: Stream ecologist with over 10 years of combined experience carrying out research and consulting on many topics related to stream ecology and aquatic resource management.
Education: B.S. and M.S. degrees in Fisheries Biology and Management and a Ph.D. in Aquatic Entomology.
Other Appointments: Dr. Lessard has spent most of her professional career determining the extent and type of biological responses to human-induced disturbances in watersheds. She has researched temperature effects of dams on stream systems, the impacts of recreational boating flows on stream biota, and has been involved in several projects evaluating methodologies to quantify effects of multiple stressors on stream systems. Dr. Lessard also has extensive experience in aquatic research study design, data manipulations and statistical analyses.
Clair Stalnaker (CV)
Current Position: Retired, formerly senior scientist with U.S. Geological Survey, Denver, CO
Expertise: Research, method development and implementation, and policy for instream flows.
Education: Ph.D. Animal Ecology.
